Our Story

If you’ve ever walked into our store, you probably were met with a man wearing a hawaiian shirt, sunglasses and a big ole’ smile. That would be blake gallet, the owner of Kirk’s U Need a Butcher. If you know Blake then you know he loves nothing more than his wife Rachelle, his family, God, making people smile, his community and hawaiian shirts.

But you should know that Kirk’s wasn’t always Kirk’s. Started over 55 years ago, as Bruce’s U Need a Butcher. It’s second owner, Kirk Courville, was Bruce’s son in law who took over the business after Bruce died. After Kirk passed away his good friend, Blake Gallet, a cop who frequently stopped by for lunch, retired from his job and took over the business. Renaming it, Kirk’s U Need a Butcher after his good friend.

Blake, determined to make the store successful jumped in and hasn’t stopped since.
